
One of Australian’s finest fast bowler Mitchell Starc , has officially steeped away from T20 International cricket . The 35 years old left arm quick confirmed on September 2 , 2025. that he will not longer available for shortest period choosing instead to concentrate on Test and one Day International (ODIs).

Since making his T20I debut in 2012, Starc has played 65 matches and claimed 79 wickets at an economy 7.74 , finishing as Australia’s second highest wicket taker in T20I. He is known for his ability to bowl toe crushing yorker at over 145 km/h , he was a nightmare for batters during power play and death overs.
Starc was instrumental in Australia’s 2021 T20 World Cup Victory , where his early breakthroughs set tone in several key matches. Over the years, his consistency and accuracy in high pressure moments made him One of the most valuable bowlers in world T20 Cricket.

“Test cricket is and has always been my highest priority,” Starc said upon his announcement.”
