The third and final one day international  Australia women vs India women at Arun Jaitely Stadium in Delhi turned into high scoring thriller , with the series tied 1-1 after india empathic win in chandigarh , perfectly fiting for series decider . In the end Australia win by 43 runs to claim the series 2-1.

Australia winning the toss and decided to bat first skipper Alyssa Healy gave the innings of flying start with 30 from just 18 balls, Georgia voll anchored the well craft 81 from 68 balls keeping the momentum steady.

Ellyse Perry played her part 68 off 72 balls building partnership and rotating the strike effectively.but the innings truly belong to Beth Mooney . The left hander unleashed one of her finest ODI knock smashing 138 runs from just 75 balls at a strike rate of 184 , with the help of 23 boundaries and 1 six. Contributions from Ashleigh Gardner (39 off 24) and Georgia Wareham (16 off 9) added finishing touches as Australia piled up a mammoth 412 runs in 47.5 overs.

For India, it was a tough day in the field. Renuka Thakur (2/79) and Deepti Sharma (2/75) picked up wickets but struggled to contain the run flow. Arundhati Reddy, though claiming three wickets, conceded 86 runs in under nine overs. The lack of discipline in lines and lengths, coupled with missed chances in the field, allowed Australia to post one of the highest ODI totals against India.

 

Chasing 413 was always going to be daunting but India reply began with the real intent . Opener Pratika Rawal fell early for 10, but Smriti Mandhana took charge in aggresive fashion ,the left hander displayed her best ODI form racing to hundred off just 50 balls , the fastest century by Indian woman in ODI her innings of 125 off 63 balls including 17 fours and 5 sixes .

Harmanpreet Kaur added stability with a fluent 52 from 35 deliveries, and together with Mandhana, put India firmly in the contest. At one stage, the hosts were 206 for 2 inside 20 overs, looking well on course. However, the dismissal of Mandhana turned the tide.

India’s middle order faltered under pressure, with Richa Ghosh (6) and Radha Yadav (18) unable to sustain the tempo. The required run rate kept climbing, and the chase lost steam.

Deepti Sharma played a gutsy knock of 72 off 58, holding the innings together with Sneh Rana, who contributed 35 from 41 balls. Their 65-run partnership for the eighth wicket reignited faint hopes. But once Rana departed, the tail could not produce a miracle. India were eventually bowled out for 369 in 47 overs, 43 runs short of the target.
