Women’s World Cup: Newzealand women vs Bangladesh women, full match highlights

In the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Newzealand secured 100 runs victory over Bangladesh at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. Bangladesh again exposed their inconsistent in batting lineup.

Once again Sophie Devine shown her ability to anchor the innings under pressure situation and 112 runs partnership with Brooke Halliday which gave momentum of Newzealand after early set backs.

Sophie Devine Played 63 off 85 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes, Brooke Halliday anchored the innings 69 off 104 balls while Maddy Green played steady knock 23 off 25 balls and Isabella Gaze managed only 12 and Jess kerr goes without scoring, Rosemary Mair 2 , At the end Lea Tahuhu quickfire 12*off 4 Ball and Eden Carson 4* helps Newzealand 227/9 in 50 overs.

Bangladesh bowling Rabeya Khan pick of the bowler 3/30 in 10 overs while Marufa Akter, Nahida Akter, Nishita Akter Nishi and Fahima Khatun gets 1 wicket each.

Chasing 228 , Bangladesh innings began a shaky notes Rubya Haider departed on 4 and Sharmin akter fell on 3 while Nigar Sultana 4 off 28 tried some resistance but fell on Rosemary Mair Bowl, while Sobhana Mostary managed only 2 and Sumaiya Akter goes on 1, Shorna Akter departed on 1. Once again Bangladesh exposed inconsistent batting  leaving the team 33/6 .

While Fahima Khatun fought hard with 34 off 80 deliveries but not get support from others dismissed by Eden Carson while Nahida akter 17 and Rabeya Khan 25 tried to close the target but it’s to late, Nishita Akter Nishi 5 and Marufa Akter 1* , Bangladesh women bowled out on 127 in 39.5 overs.

Newzealand bowling Jess kerr is stand out bowler for Newzealand 3/21 in 8 overs, Lea Tahuhu also gets 3 wickets, while Rosemary Mair gets 2 wickets and Eden Carson and Amelia Kerr takes 1 wicket each.
