Australia,Reveal ODI and T20I Squads for Home Series against India

Cricket Australia has officially named it’s squads for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against India, set to begin on October 19, Mitchell Marsh leading the side in both formats, This tour is seen as a crucial preparation ahead of the 2026 T20 world cup.

Mitchell Starc Returns in ODI Squad 

The announcement is the return of Mitchell Starc in the ODI Squad, after being rested due to workload mangement,the left arm pace spearhead will bolster Australia bowling attack.

 

Owen and Renshaw are in the frame to make their ODI debuts against India having performed strongly in 50-over domestic cricket. Modify this in simple words in 30 words

Renshaw had an outstanding season for Queensland, scoring 305 runs at an average of 50 while anchoring the middle order. His consistency carried into international exposure, where he impressed for Australia A in July with brilliant knocks of 80, 106, and 62 against Sri Lanka A. Meanwhile, Owen continued his rise as one of Australia’s most exciting young talents. He grabbed headlines by smashing a blazing 48-ball century against South Australia last February, following a breakout Big Bash campaign that showcased his power-hitting ability and all-round skills, firmly placing him on the radar of national selectors for future opportunities.

Maxwell and Labuschagne miss out

Glenn Maxwell and Marnus Labuschagne are not part of the touring squads. Maxwell continues his recovery from injury, while Labuschagne has been dropped due to inconsistent form.

 

Alex Carey will miss the first ODI due to domestic commitments, with Josh Inglis expected to handle wicketkeeping duties in his absence.
