Sri Lanka winning the toss and elected to field first. India innings began with a burst of fireworks from Abhishek Sharma,who turned the spotlight on himself with a breathtaking 61 off 31 balls. Timing the ball sweetly, hammered eight boundaries and two maximums propelling india to a flying start.

Shubman Gill (4) departed early, while skipper surya Kumar Yadav 12 off 13 balls couldn’t quite find his rhythm, dismissed by Hasaranga but the momentum never really dipped, Tilak varma crafting an unbeaten 49 from 34 balls,his innings served as the glue holding india innings together.

Adding firepower in the middle, Sanju Samson played quick Knock of 39 in 23 deliveries, which ensured India kept piling on the pressure, lower down the order,Axar Patel 21 off 15 balls provided finishing touches , Even Hardik Pandya brief stay ended with only 2 runs

Sri Lanka bowlers Theekshana, Hasaranga, Chameera, Shanaka and Asalanka bagged one wicket each, while Tushara gets wicket less .

India finished 202/5 in 20 overs.

Chasing 203 , Sri Lanka lost early wickets of Kusal Mendis but a sensational innings by Pathum Nissanka, crafting a brilliant century 107 off 58 balls with the help of 7 fours and 6 sixes, solid support from Kusal pareera,who scored 58 runs from 32 deliveries and together they stitched a 127 run stand that put Sri Lanka on the verge of victory .

The final over drama 

Sri Lanka needed 12 of 6 ball  , Sri Lanka losse Pathum Nissanka wicket on very first ball but with the help of Dashun Shanaka 22 off 11 balls managed to finish on 202/5 , exactly matching India total and setting the stage for a racking super over

India bowling , Hardik, Varun, Arshdeep , kuldeep and Harshit gets one wicket each.

The super over showdown

The Super Over provided unforgettable drama. India trusted Arshdeep Singh to bowl the crucial over, and the left-arm pacer delivered magnificently. Holding his nerve under immense pressure, Arshdeep conceded just 2 runs while also picking up 2 wickets. His toe touching yorkers and  variations left the Sri Lankan batsmen clueless.

Chasing only 3 runs in the Super Over, captain Suryakumar Yadav wasted no time. On the very first ball, gets 3 runs , sealing the win for India in emphatic fashion.
