New Zealand Outclass West Indies to Seal Dominant 3-0 ODI series Sweep

New Zealand wrapped up a powerful 3–0 series victory by beating the West Indies by four wickets in the final ODI at Seddon Park, Hamilton. A brilliant performance from Matt Henry, set up the win as they bowled out the visitors for a small total before completing a comfortable chase.

West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss and decided to bat first on what looked like a good surface. However, the decision turned out to be costly as the visitors failed to build partnerships and were dismissed for only 161 runs in 36.2 overs, their lowest total of the series.

Matt Henry was outstanding with the new ball. He used the slight swing on offer to trouble the top order and removed Ackeem Auguste(17) and Keacy Carty on golden duck early, putting the West Indies under pressure from the start. Henry   accuracy and ability to move the ball made batting extremely difficult, and the visitors never recovered .

New Zealand fast bowlers kept a tight grip on the innings with disciplined bowling and smart use of short deliveries. Jacob Duffy supported Henry well, taking 2 for 27, while Mitchell Santner also chipped in with 2 for 27, keeping things tight in the middle overs.

For the West Indies, John Campbell 26, and Roston Chase scored 38, trying to rebuild the innings, but wickets kept falling around him. Later, Khary Pierre, batting at No. 10, struck an unbeaten 22 to lift the score slightly and prevent an even more embarrassing total. Henry finished with excellent figures of 4 for 43, while Kyle Jamieson and Zakary Foulkes chipped with one wicket.

Chasing modest total 162 , New Zealand innings began with cautiously loss three early wickets Rachin Ravindra (14), Devon Conway (11), will Young (3), bowlers gave perfect Start for West Indies . After Early setback Tom Latham and Mark Chapman put together 38 runs partnership but Latham fell on 10 and leaving the team 70/4 in 19.1 overs .

The left-handed Mark Chapman then took control, showcasing his growing composure in the middle order. He anchored the chase with an aggressive  64 runs off 63 balls.Crucially,  excellent 75 runs partnership with Michael Bracewell, who injected momentum with a quickfire unbeaten 40 runs off 31  balls, featuring five boundaries, effectively killing off any West Indian hope, steering the home side to the brink of victory before Bracewell’s departure.

New Zealand comfortably reached the target in the 30.3 over, finishing on 162 for 6, sealing the series 3-0 .

For the west indies Matthew Forde and Jayden Seales chipped with 2 wickets while Shamar Springer and Roston chase gets 1 wicket each.
