Sri Lanka won the toss and Opted to bat first, innings began with shaky notes, when vishmi Gunarathne departed on very first ball of the Innings, however Chamari Athapaththu and Hasini Parera provide resistance after early set back , both rotate the strike and punishing losse deliveries, together added 72 runs, Chamari Athapaththu Played a aggressive knock 46 off 43 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes .

The innings however belongs to Hasini Pareera, who played classy and composed Knock, 85 off 99 balls and featuring 13 fours and 1 six, she Singal handedly kept the scoreboard ticking , while lack of support from middle order , while Nilakshi De Silva added 37 valuable runs, Eventually Sri Lanka women bowled out on 202 in 48.4 overs.

Bangladesh bowlers Shorna Akter was the standout performer, finishing with impressive figures of 3 for 27 from her 10 overs, while Rabeya Khan chipped in with 2 for 39 while Marufa Akter, Nahida Akter and Nishita Akter took 1 wicket each.

Chasing 203 , Bangladesh began innings with shaky notes, Rubya Haider goes without scoring, and Fargana Hoque managed only 7 , sobhana Mostary added only 8. However Nagir Sultana and Sharmin akter provide stability after lose of quick three wickets , the duo added  82 runs for fourth wicket, Sharmin Akhter crafted a patient 64 off 103 balls, while Nigar Sultana led from the front with a brilliant 77 off 98 deliveries, playing smartly around the field and rotating the strike effectively.

Bangladesh appeared destined for victory, but Sri Lanka’s bowlers made a remarkable comeback. The turning point came when Inoka Ranaweera dismissed Sharmin Akhter, opening the floodgates. Bangladesh’s middle order collapsed under pressure, losing eight wickets for just 63 runs. Captain Athapaththu marshalled her bowlers brilliantly, making smart tactical changes and maintaining attacking fields . The chase ended at 195/9 in 50 overs, handing Sri Lanka a narrow yet crucial 7-run victory in a low-scoring thriller.

Sri Lanka bowler, Chamari Athapaththu is stand out bowler 4/42 in 10 overs, and Sugandika Kumari took 2 wickets, while Udeshika prabodani got  1 wicket .
